Adding fallbacks

Adding Fallbacks to a Playbook

Fallbacks let you pre-approve compromise positions so negotiations move faster and stay controlled.

You can add them in two ways:

1. When Creating a Playbook

In the Playbook Wizard, generate your playbook with AI and simply instruct it to include fallback positions.
For example:
“Add typical fallback positions for topics we may need to compromise on.”

DraftPilot will create your main position and include layered fallback options (e.g. alternative liability caps or carve-outs) directly in the playbook.

2. After a Playbook Is Created

Open the playbook, click Edit PlaybookRefine Playbook, and ask AI to expand or strengthen the fallbacks.
For example:
“The fallbacks for limitation of liability are too soft. Add multiple layers we can use if we don’t win our primary position.”

Click Apply to update the playbook.
